Do you agree with an open marrage? I feel personally to each his own... If the couple stays together, whats the problem... Even though it may not be right for you, whats to knock others for doing it?

I agree, to each their own. As long as someone's actions don't affect my life, i don't care what they do or to whom they do it.

Open marriage is fine if there aren't kids involved. Because eventually the relationsihp will probably implode and the kid is going to be the one f'ed up over it.

If it works for them then its fine. If they are happy why not. It's better than two miserable people raising kids.

It depends on the situation and the individual personality but I do agree abit with sunn when kids are involve the situation becomes more complex and maybe be correct, especially these day when kids are learning more things at faster paces.

To me if I could be in Mikey D"s kinda situation, that would be soo great..
But if my lady wanted to be with another guy then ? I don't think I'd like it.
Edit; Sorry I forgot, Nice to have you back ICG.
But to each his/her own, if it works for you then good for you.

I think there is a difference between 'swinging' and having an 'open marriage'. Couples who 'swing' have sexual encounters with other singles or couples, and these encounters are enjoyed by both partners. In an open marriage, on the other hand, one partner may be having a romantic or sexual relationship outside the union at a time when the other partner is not. Swinging is more of a sex-thrill kind of thing, and there is definitely NOT as much trust involved there in a lot of cases. A man might think it's fine and dandy to wife-swap with the neighbor, but freak out if his wife goes to visit said neighbor for coffee while he is at work. (Guys who like to watch their wives screw other men can be the jealous, controlling type.) Partners who mutually consent to an open marriage situation have such love, trust and respect between them that they know that even if their loved one takes up with someone else, the marriage is still number one.
As long as both parties in a relationship understand and consent to its boundaries, anything goes as far as I'm concerned.

as most everyone already said, so long as it's a decisin agreed upon by both people involved, i dont see where there's a problem. i also dont see where outside people get off passing judgment on other people's lives. not only is it none of their business, but i dont see why they would even care so much

Honestly I think certain people, and society at large, would benefit greatly from having said certain people being told how to live.

yes, ugly people should be monogamous, and hot people should be forced to swing. share the wealth, I say! ;)
of course i get to decide who makes the cut (and i do take sexual favors as bribes)

I consider myself to be a libertarian and have a live and let live attitude. If two adults consent to swinging without any coercion, then its their business. However it may have a detrimental effect on children. During a commercial on R and F, I switched over to mike savage (whom I sometimes agree with). He said that the little girl who was killed in San Diego was killed by one of the parents' swing partners. Furthermore the girl was said to have suffered from severe emotional trauma while she was alive. I 'm not a therapist, but I think kids sense things more than they let on. This doesn't mean that couples who don't swing are angelic and don't hurt their kids, but maybe swingers put their kids in more jeopardy w/o intending to. I mean no disrespect to Mickey D. This is just a brainstorm.
See ya!

I went to a swing club once in NYC and my fiance and i were looking into the whole scene - we fooled around in front of other people at the club but i think decided we weren't into full on "swinging" (we were interested in adding a girl to the mix).
But I think anyone should approach their relationship the way they both feel comforatble and light swinging can definitely spice things up!

Swinging in marriage is fine if it is accepted by both partners.
Swinging as an unmarried couple is ideal! Tried it once before, oh yeah.

I don't believe I could handle a relationship such as that, but I certainly do not have a problem with anyone else doing it. It is cool that, as best friends, they could share their lives together and still have the relationships that they desire. It was so frustrating listening to those idiots that just weren't grasping the concept.

I personally believe that there is nothing wrong with swinging or an "open marriage" as some call it. If both people are comfortable with it, then they should go for it. It keeps the marriage fresh so you don't get bored. If I EVER got married, I would want that.
