it depends what you mean by technical. benoit trained in the dungeon and is probably the greatest technical wrestler of all time, as far as WWE wrestling goes.

as far as real life wrestling angle is by the greatest.

they are both incredible though, both are the best things in the wwe right now.

as much as i love em both, id have to give an ever so slight edge to angle, if just for the fact benoit has just come back from neck surgery...but IMO no one has ever thrown a prettier suplex than chris benoit, especially 10 in a row on Stone Cold

just the fact that austin let benoit do 10 suplexes to his elmer's glue neck shows the respect he has for him, and how good benoit is.
angle knows alot more, but most of his tech skills are suited for amature wrestling, not pro, so in this case i think the edge goes to benoit

Tough call , I'd have to say Benoit. He also doesn't throw that many punches as Angle.

HHH, are you kidding me? I asked best technical wrestler, not brawler or who throws the best punches.

See? I'm really a nice guy, so I won't yell at the guy who suggested HHH.

I'm with my man, fatty. Best pro wrestler is Benoit. Best "real" wrestler is Angle.

hey triple h when he first started out, like 8 years ago, he was technical as hell. he was thin and spry he kiked ass. only within the past 4 or 5 years did he really become a brawler look at his earlier matches he was as technical as they came.

I agree...I am a HUGE HHH fan, but not in the same class as Benoit...

In my opinion, one of my favorite matches ever was SummerSlam 2000, Benoit vs. Jericho, best two out of three falls.

Watch that and tell me Benoit isn't the master.

hhh was once technical? that blows my mind. all he does these days is brawl, with an occasional neck breaker thrown in. of course, then there's his really difficult finisher. forgive me, i just dont get why he gets so much heat when he's so boring in the ring.

benoit's got an edge on angle, and he never broke a guy's arm with a bad moonsault. angle's still great to watch though. no one punches with better exaggeration.

WWE wrestling's best technical wrestler is Benoit. However, if Angle was around as long as Benoit, I believe it would be even tougher to decide. Angle was a great greco-roman wrestler, and surely has learned the entertainment style quickly. I still can't believe Cyyy put Regal at #2!?

I have to agree 100%. I wouldnt even put him in my top ten probably, but he has the best lookin moonsault around.

if his moonsault's so good, why hasnt he done it since that day? in wrestling, you gotta look out for the other guy as much as he looks out for you. angle didnt do that. jeff hardy never hurt anyone with his moonsault, neither does jericho.

You're wrong, Angle has done several moonsaults that have landed on his opponent, since he broke Holly's arm.

I seem to remember Angle doing one to Hardcore not too long ago in a match.

Angle's moonsault was a thing of beauty. However, he hasn't used it much in the last few months. Perhaps he's gotten too big and heavy for the move. I'll never forget when he did it off the top of the cage versus Benoit......that anyone could go throw with a move like that from that height is guts...and craziness.

Now back to best technical wrestler. Angle and Benoit can both edge out the other in one person's opinion. I'm gonna lean towards an unexpected pick....Eddie Guerrero. His brainbuster is scary, and shows how much strength and precision he has. He can switch between brawling and technical wrestling without losing the crowd or his pace. Eddie can do an armlock, a suplex and a hurricanrana all in the same match.

I would also say that Triple H, really before the accident, was a technical wrestler, in a manner of speaking. While he didn't have a vast variety of moves, the heel HHH a year ago played the "thinking man's" wrestler perfectly. His punches and attacks always seemed measured and precise, like he was dissecting an opponent. I recall a match where he was even using a Mexican death lock (name???) and a great deal more moves than usual.

Now I'm starving

What are they gonna do now?

Angle has a SWEEEET Moonsault and he has done it
tons of times since the Holly MAtch in fact he used it
at the last Summer Slam Vs Austin. It was Hollies
Fault. You have to upt your boddy completly down
when you get hit by that move but hollies arm was
up. Yes REGAL is a great Tech.... I love how he
always puts his forearm on your face when he goes
for the pin. He is also very good at taking a man
down he does alot of little things that I
appreciate

Its called "ring psycology". Almost no one works a crowd better during a match than HHH. Hes so methodical and precise it makes his stuff look even more devastating. He still is pretty technical, i would venture to say hes at his best when he is working on an opponents body part, like a leg. Hell do leg grapevines, fig 4's indian deathlocks, etc...
i remember back when benoit was wrestling with billy gunn for the IC title, i never saw any one get destroyed that bad two matches in a row...wiped poor billy gunn out..

I would say benoit. He has the ability to adapt to any style wrestling that is out there. He was able to suceed in japan and mexico. 2 places with very different styles. Plus, Chris was able to keep up with Jushin Liger!
Then again i feel that Kurt is more complete performer b/c of his mic skills.
that is my 2 cents.
