"The Backyard," the Paul Hough documentary focusing on the lives of backyard wrestling and those who practice it, won Edinburgh International Film Festival's "Best of Fest 2002" Award in Great Britain.

The film, which features Rob Van Dam commenting on the backyard wrestling scene, the "Vince McMahon of Backyard Wrestling," and a backyard wrestler who goes to the Tough Enough 2 tryouts, defeated such films as the Al Pacino-Robin Williams thriller "Insomnia" and the comedy "Tadpole", which was a huge hit at the Sundance Film Festival.

"The Backyard" will continue to play a number of film festivals over the next few months, including the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in September


If there is a way to get into the film festival, I want to see this.

It was playing here in Florida I couldnt even get in but I heard there is a scene in The dessert in Nevada that these two brothers had a 3 stages of hell match.1st fall was regulkar match 2nd fall was a buried alive match and the third fall was to put the opponent through a flaming board of barb wire,the climax of the match comes when a third brother and the kids mom comes out and orders one brother to put the other through the board.How sick is that the mom gets involved.

I'm a backyard veteran. been doing it since i was about 8 till about 17. I gave it up recently. And having a friend pull out the tacks makes it easier
