But seriously, THIS SHOW WAS THE SHIT!!
My dad and I ALWAYS watched it! In Reruns, I guess. But it was always on near The Jeffersons, I remember that.
Fred. Lamont. Grady. Aunt Ester. The Puerto Rican guy next store, and his goat. The White and black cop. You HAVE to love this show!
I can hear the theme song now!!
THIS IS THE BIG ONE!
ELIZABETH! I'm comin' to join ya, Honey!

I always wanted to party with Grady, Woodrow, Bubba and Fred. After a few "Dripples"(Fred's favorite drink, prune juice and Ripple), I'm sure "gorilla ugly" Aunt Esther would look hot.
BTW, the PR next door with the goat was Julio.

loved the show...
Woodrow was a funny guy...
I have an Uncle Tony who owned a JunkYard on Canal St in Jersey City with my Grandfather...
Uncle Tony had a gray beard, big belly, bowlegged with bad knees, and yelled alot...and his Son, my cousin worked for him driving one of the trucks...
and believe you me, he had a cast of characters working for him...
it's unbelievable how close they resembled Fred, Lamont, and the Junk Yard in General...
:)

Classic Show!!! I was watching it last night on TV Land. It was the one where some prodcer rips them off by making a show with white guys called "Steinberg and son". An unknown John Larroquette plays the white Lamont character.

What was that Simpsons episode where they played the music?
When Ray Patterson (Steve Martin) was asked to replace Homer as Springfield's sanitation collector.

Dripples"(Fred's favorite drink, prune juice and Ripple)
Didnt he also mix champagne and ripple and call it "champipple"?
I think its pretty sad that poor Red Foxx died of a real heart attack...

As a child this show would leave me rolling with laughter so often!!! Fred's insults on Aunt Esther were too much. The music still makes me smile.
