I could see their point if you were running around from person to person urging them to look at pictures of some of the scantily clad ladies of Maxim, but if you're just minding your own business and reading than what the fuck.
Has our country really become this petty and have people really convinced themselves that we have nothing better to worry about than pathetic and extremely overinterpreted civil liberties or sexual harassment violations? If someone is complaining that what you're reading offends them ( I realize they've asked you to stop as a precautionary measure, but still) then they also belong in the playpen with the rest of the ACLU crybabies. GOD THIS SHIT AGGRIVATES ME!
My one big hope for this country is that one day people will stop finding petty, pathetic things to use as a soapbox for them to stand on and start volunteering this time and energy to issues that matter! Safety in schools, an over population of homeless people, missing children, criminals on the loose, these are problems and causes worth fighting for.
I love America, I love the fact that we're the ones looking out for the little guy, but when this policy is turned internally who decides who is the more important little guy. Who is to say that IrishKB's right to read what he wants (as long as he's not forcing it on others) is more important than the right of some uptight corporate HAG who peeked over his shoulder and was offended by what she saw. He wasn't displaying it for all to see, so in the words of eric cartman "Whats the big fuckin' deal, bitch?" Im so aggrivated with stupidity today, I wish everyone would just take a second to pull the stick out of their ass, they'd feel much better.
America used to be so fun & crazy and relaxed. We were the blue jean wearin', long haired, free lovin' hippies that everyone loved. All these people from other countries wanted to be liek us so bad! Then the f'n suits in the ACLU had to bust up everyones party.
No offense to anyone who is from another country, if you came here to make a better life for yourself, good for you, I wish you luck, but if you don't like the way shit is done here: go home, stop trying to sue the pants off of everyone to make a buck, thats a cop out!
