If the guy really had been the hero that he said he was, and tried to parlay that into a date, I wouldn't have nearly as big a problem as I do - as he was clearly full of shit.

He changed his story 3 times. Originally he claimed to have run back into the building to save people. After the cop called and said that people weren't allowed to return to the building, he changed his story to running back into the plaza. After another call he changed his story once again to saving people by hanging out
in the police station and giving them the news that the 2nd building.

The firefighters and cops and the many civillian heroes and volunteers represent the very height of human decency and goodness and compassion.

This guy represents the basest elements of greed, selfishness and egocentrisicm.

I guess a lot of times I look at things from different angles. What sometimes puzzles me is when someone hears that a person they like (Tenacious C) is in a happy loving relationship, why would you call up or even think you would have a chance to break up an already happy relationship to go out with them? I mean, Tenacious C has said many times that she loves her boyfriend and isn't interested in dating anyone else.
