I definitely believe that in certain horrible situations or life threatening circumstances, certain people just seem to appear in our lives to help us.

Here are my circumstances.

When I was a child I was wading in the water at a lake when a huge man dove into the lake and landed right on top of me! I felt my self go unconscious under the water. Some other guy (who I don't even remember) was right nearby and picked up me out of the water. I believe I would have died if he wasn't there.

This past year was one of the most trying years as far as my job went. There was a lady who I met right when stuff was happening that was there for me to bail me out of really horrendous circumstances

Do you guys have any?

Not to get all earthy-crunchy-new-agey on you all, but I do believe that certain people were/are meant to come into your life when you need them the most. It could be for good or even for "bad" (usually a lesson will be learned).

Right now I'm going through a very trying time. I've recently made a new friend who went through a similar situation. It was meant to be.

Fuzzybutt: I definitely believe that God puts "teachers" in our life before we go through a bad experience.

I can't tell you how many times, I have been friends with somebody and they will tell me about a difficult experience they are going through (whether it be an illness of some sort or difficult life experience) and I will think, "I wonder why they are telling me this stuff" - only to find myself in the same situation down the road - and using their advice.

Coco, you and I agree and disagree a lot, but I'm sorry, I NEVER bought this ANGEL thing. I think it's been more of a merchandising thing the past few years. It REALLY took off, with collecters, and people into religious gifts and trinkets. And the new age book movement thing too.

Here's MY problem with it. If someone is saved from a horrible situation, then their Angel, and The Lord were looking out for them.

If they die, then it was The Lord's Will, and God's plan, and THIER TIME.

I HATE these umbrella phrases, and catch all terms.

But whatever helps you get to sleep at night.........
