you guys have any of these? theyre frickin awesome. Ive got Barely Legal(their first PPV), Heatwave 98(considered by some to be the greatest north american PPV ever), Hardcore History, Anarchy Rulz 99 and Guilty as Charged 01. If youre a wrestling fan i would definitely check them out. So many great matches. You got Van Dam/Jerry Lynn, Eliminators/Dudley Boyz, Psicosis/Tajri, Super Crazy/Tajiri etc. I think on guilty as charged they have a 3 team elimination match with Tajiri/Mikey Whipwreck vs. FBI vs. Super Crazy and Kid Kash..
I hadnt watched much of ECW back in its heyday, but as soon as i got some of these DVD's i really began to realize how great a promotion it was, and how so many guys who were great in ECW now have been ruined in the WWF(tajiri, van dam, taz, etc)
BTW- barely legal Sabu/Terry Funk in a barbed wire rope match...most brutal match ive ever seen. they had to cut them apart!

I have the Dudley's DVD, some great stuff & I can't wait to get my hands on the rest. I wish more new ones were coming, but I don't see it happening unless Paul E hits the lottery & can afford to pay off all his debts....very sad.
...silent, but violent!

Heatwave '98 is definitely one of, if not , the best pay-per-views I've seen. And seeing it on DVD just elevates it.
I don't like pits, pits, pits, in my juice, juice, juice!

Vince should eventually buy the ECW tape library. I mean, why not, he owns everything else.

I disagree.
ECW was okay at times. Most times, though, it was....average at best. I cannot credit any promotion that has Justin Credible as champion to be "great".
As for the ECW talent in the WWF/E.....of course they're not going to be handled the same way. Realize that Vince only cares about those wrestlers which HE himself "created". That's a big reason why HHH & Rock are ALWAYS champion, and why guys like Benoit have to stay in the midcard. It's also why RVD is still in the midcard while Lesnar is inexplicably getting the world title push.
I don't mind how they're handling 2 stars, though: Tazz & RVD. I don't mind them screwing with Tazz, because I've never thought he was THAT great to begin with (unless you're into midgets with New Yawk accents), and although I fear they're trying to convert RVD to the "WWE Style", I think they've done a good job of reigning him in and eliminating some of his sloppier ring habits.

I disagree with your take on ECW. I think ECW was a hell of a lot better than average at best most of the time.
As gay as the name is, Justin Credible put on some pretty good matches in ECW. He probably shouldn't have gotten the push he did, but he wasn't bad.
Why was Jericho made into a superstar in the WWE? He was the first undisputed champion even though ECW "created" him. The Dudley's were made stars and champions too, even though the same is true of them. I think Vince just fails to see the talent in guys like Tajiri, Dreamer, Raven, Justin Credible, Shane Douglas, Jerry Lynn etc. . And that is why they are aren't utilized and are usually turned into shit by McMahon.
I would take anyone on of the years ECW existed (94 -early '01) over the current state of the WWE. other than Summerslam the WWE sucks ass lately.
