First Drink

When was the first time you had a beer or any alcohol beverage? I remember I was 7 at a wedding and a whole bunch of Marines put a glass of beer up to my mouth forcing me to drink it. Good Times , Good Times.

My first drink was some champaign on New years when I was like 12 I think.

Then, when I was like 17, an old friend was a volunteer Fireman, and had access to the firehouse to hang out in and play pool. They also had a full fridge of Budweiser, and I downed on first try! Not bad for someone who never drank! That's the Irish blood in my coming out!

i think around april of 2001 when my parents were gone and my sister thru a party. i'm 16 now so that would mean i was 15.

I guess the same way everyone else starts. The priest takes you in after mass and offers you some communion wine, then a little more and soon he asks if you want to 'Kiss Jesus'.

Other than that, I guess it was probably a sip of Guiness from my dad's glass when I was a wee lad. First 'adult' beer was the summer before high school, me and a buddy stole 2 Miller Lites from his father's fridge and drank them in the woods by our houses. We were so queer, man, we were all worried we would get a buzz on and everyone would know. How funny is that?

All the older kids I knew talked about the wonder of getting drunk. I neede to experience this so at age 11 I stole a bottle of port wine from my father's stash, downed many glasses of it, got sick and puked all over the place, then slept for 2 days. It didn't stop me from becoming an alcoholic, though.

My mom used to rub cherry brandy on my gums whenever I had a toothache! I would guess this started when I was about 7. When I was 13 or so I started drinking my grandpa's bourbon. He didn't mind.

"I don't want to alarm anyone, but I think there's a l'il al-kee-hol in this punch!"
