Ok over the past month or so i have started to realize alot of things that are wrong with the way i look at relationships. I used to think that a guy who was older could satisfy me but i know thats not true anymore. Im 17 years old, alot of shit has happened in my life, and im not even exagerating, by the time i was in eighth grade i was handling responsibilities that a20 year old would have. Anyway im starting to think that dating kids around my age group, 16/17/18 wouldnt be such a bad idea, i dsont want anything serious and i want to spend time with someone who will act imature if they feel like acting that way, b/c i cant handle seriousness 24-7. So i think its safe to say that this is the way i am going to go for now. Screw the cool factor that comes with dating a twenty-something year old. Give me a dorky 17 year old that sits on his couch and watches cartoons all day

I think it is probably a good idea. The fact is, you will find very immature and mature people at any age. If you're not looking for anything serious, I say go with someone younger. When you date older, you may not bein truly being yourself in fear of being "immature". Just start chilling with someone you think is silly, funny and fun to be around no matter what age.

Yeah, all great advice and Sheepy i am legal in the states of NJ NY and Conn. AGGIE had a terrifically insightful comment. There are people who are mature at 17, and people who are immature at 30. I don't believe that a hard and fast rule of thumb can be established; rather, it varies with the particular individual.

Upon reflection however, I note that when single I tended to go out with older women. I found them more interesting and able to discuss deeper issues. My wife is (slightly) older than me as well.
