after going through some tough times in my short life i found the best way i get through it is to write. i either just write out everything that comes to mind or i express it in a poem. i was just going to save all of them until i had enough to try to get them published in a book of all my poems. recently i entered one of my poems into a conest on poetry.com. i just got a letter in the mail saying that i have been chosen to have my poem published in a book. i am pretty proud of this...
Emptiness
Sadness always gets the best of you
You feel lost with no way out
Confusion runs though your body
What do you do now
There is no reason to go on
You look for answers, but there are none to be found
The feelings gets stronger within you
You don't know how to describe it
Then it hits you like a bolt of lightning
Emptiness
((yes this is the same thing i posted on oa.com but fuck you all, i aint gonna change it around))

this is fantastic! Amy, I went to school, for 5 years for creative writing, finished second in my class, mt teachers all loved my stuff, but never have i gotten anything published!! at 18, you're already a more successful writer than I am. Keep workin' at it, and by the time you're my age, you'll have that book :)

this sig is the masterpiece of the cheesy one
<i>LABELS ARE FOR PRODUCTS, NOT PEOPLE!
And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
All I do is keep the beat and bad company
All I do is kiss you through the bars of a rhyme

Truth Be Told: Angel, that poem was atrocious.
The words, the feelings, the cadence are as routine
as acne. Every other high school/college girl thinks
that SHE is the only one to have these DEEP
feelings. Wake up, dummy, you all feel that way
and you all write the same drivel. As to being
published, how much are your dolt parents going to
pay for this door stop? Might as well buy the
National Dean's List Book. Write about ass crack
sweat - very interesting topic. Sorry, puff

Letting your thoughts, feelings, frustrations, flow through your pen benefits not only you, but also those who are privileged to read them.

great job amy, that's cool as hell you're getting published.
on a side note i wrote a poem.
"i am mark. i joined this board to bash others that were perfectly happy without me here. from the safety of a computer i speak negatively about others when in real life i cannot utter these words face to face because i am a pussy. i try to ruin others fun being insulting, when in reality i will soon disappear and no one will remember me. i talk about how girls write about the same depressing stuff, when i am guilty of being like every other poster who comes on this board insulting people trying to be cool, so in fact i am the same asshole that i am trying to make fun of. the end."
i know it doesn't rhyme but the rhythm is good i think.
