I'll take Shea Stadium over Yankee Stadium any day, but then again, I'm a Mets fan. If I want to see a particular American League team, I'll try to go see them in Baltimore before I go to Yankee Stadium. That's how much I dislike Yankee Stadium.

i like yankee stadium. the seats aren't very comfy, but that can be fixed.

but i've never been to shea, so i can't really choose my favorite of those two stadiums. the only other stadium i've been to, besides yankee stadium, is fenway. ack! the seats are WAY to close together. no leg room, and the fat guys always bleed over onto your seat.

yankee stadium is a dump. the concession stand people are rude, the seats are too small, there are not enough escalators, and its very hard to get to (at least from Long Island)

As a Mets fan, shea could be better. They should at least renovate like they did in Anahiem and make it like a "ballpark".

Shea sucks. I'm a Mets fan but it sucks. Yankees home can be understood in being dump-ish, right in the middle of the bronx and all...but Shea has no excuse. Neon lights? Oh come on! Friggin Neon for god's sake. The indians should just buy it and convert it into a casino.
I love my Mets no matter what. Irish is right, any team, any day, good to be a fan.

I live in the bronx, I agree the surroundings at yankee stadium isn't totally the best in the world. it where their placing new housing project buildings and the some of the people around that make it a bad place

I agree about the old wooden seats at Fenway. They're the worst I've ever sat in. The seats at Shea come in second worst (I sat in them this past Saturday and I'm just getting over it).
The worst stadium I was ever in was Olymic Stadium in Montreal. The old Cleveland Municipal Stadium was a dump but it had some charm. The fans were great too.

Chris Cimino (sp?), sounds like a guy you would hear on after the Shoomzer or on 1050 ESPN radio. He actually discusses sports, wierd concept right?

He doesn't have that edginess that is expected or warranted from WNEW programming. Maybe better on the weekends.

To sum the stadium comments, I think that both stadium are in bad condition. Big fucking deal, enjoy the game you payed for!
