(REUTERS) The heart-wrenching effort to save beached whales in Massachusettes was dealt a setback today with the death of T.V. personality Star Jones. "The only thing we saw in the frenzy was another creature with leathery skin and a blowhole," said whale saver Al LoPresto. "We pushed it back in the water, and like the rest of them, it struggled back towards shore.After holding it under for a while to get it used to being in the water again, it gave up it's fight. Only then did we realize it was Star Jones." The Grand Canyon is being readied for the burial. Services T.B.A.

most whales beach cuz they have a slow leader or they chase fishes that bring them to close to shore.not being able to breath has got to be one of the worse ways to die.

I wish people didn't always have to mess with nature. Whales have been beaching themselves for years. We have to let it happen, it's part of the natural cycle. It's not like the whales are beaching themselves because of a human caused reason.

I'm not arguing that, but this has nothing to do with anything people did. If all these whales had been cut by boat propellors, that's one thing. But they washed up naturally.

By the way, did anybody know that you can dump an umlimited amount of strong acids and bases into the ocean and all of it will always be neutralized. Its true.
