Does Money Bring Happiness?

I used to live in a lower-middle income area and moved within the last few years to a very wealthy area - we are talking about a lot of millionaires.

I noticed the people here are just miserable. I sometimes see them at the train station (at times getting out of their Bentley's) and they have scowls on their faces. They really don't seem happy even with all their money they have.

I was talking to my brother about this and he said that it is probably because most of them constantly work (probably 14 hour days) and have to "keep up" with bills, payments, etc. What do you think?

right now it does in the sense that for the first time ever, i'm caught up with bills, paid off a couple of student loans, and i'm finally able to have a little left over to save. i've always had to live paycheck to paycheck, and my credit is just horrible. am i happier? not really, it's just one one less pressure i have to deal with, worrying about how i'm going to pay this or that and not worry about not having any money left over for food and gas.

some people are just miserable.
i on the other hand would be the happiest person ever if i had money. i have no doubts

something I have noticed... as much as I wine and whatever as to how much I need money and bla bal bal
I still enjoy life.... the one I have now...
sometimes I think how great it would be to be born into a shit load of money... but I m glad I am the way I am now... cuase I gotta work for my money... teaching me a lesson in life... also bounds me for greatness.... I mean where the hell else am I gonna go than where I am now... UP TO GREATNESS... so i gotta fukin' makie it in the game

Depends completely on the individual but...imagine the party we could have if I had the cash! I KNOW if I didn't have to worry about my bills I'd be very happy.

i believe that having money makes u happier...but only when u are used to not having it. Like if a poor person strikes the lottery or something and he never had a good mean etc , then that will make them happier. But people who are born into wealth...they are usually miserable selfish snobs
