Did you ever take the class pet home?

Did you ever take the class pet home for the weekend or during vacation time so it wouldn't die of starvation or loneliness in the classroom?

Our class had a spider monkey named "Bandit". While we were bring him down into our basement we dropped the cage, rolling Bandit down the stairs, tossing Monkey shit everywhere. Bandit was never quite comfortable in my home after that.

Where did you go to school?.. In a Rainforest?

I remember taking the so -called -male Guinea Pigs home for the weekend, and the next day they had had two babies. It was exciting and disturbing all at once.

which worked out well because he was also our co-pilot.

One time I took home the class gerbils, Oscar and Felix. My wacky Uncle said he could make them disappear, so I agreed to pull down his pants and grab a piece of tubing and...well, I thought it was a magic trick.

I got to take home the class mouse for Easter. Unfortunately, he died and I was never allowed to bring home the class pet again.
