This week's edition of NWA TNA opened wildly with Jeff Jarrett rampaging to the ring and taking out anyone who got in his way with chairshots. He said that he wanted his NWA title shot and wasn't leaving the ring until he got it.
In the back, Ken Shamrock saw what Jarrett was doing and was on his way to the ring when security officers Shamrock tried to stop him. That turned out to be a dumb move for them as Shamrock ended up laying all of them out. He left the room and locked the door behind him. Shamrock had his friend Ian Harrison stand in front of the door with orders to not let security out of the room for the rest of the night. The extremely large Harrison said Shamrock could count on him.
Bill Behrens came to the ring and told Jarrett that he was suspended for 60 days. Behrens told Jarrett that he could be a gentleman and leave or he could be taken to the back by the security force (which Behrens didn't know was locked up in the back). Jarrett gave Behrens a third option and laid him out with a chair to the head. Behrens was maimed and would have been hurt worse except that Ken Shamrock came out to the ring and attacked Jarrett. Monty Brown and Apolo came to ringside and pulled Shamrock off of Jarrett. That gave Jeff the chance to hit Shamrock in the head with a chairshot as well. Shamrock was KO'd to the canvas. K Krush and Brian Christopher came out to ringside and celebrated with Jarrett as The Chosen One went to the back.
So, Jarrett was suspended for 60 days, but there wasn't any security there to enforce it.
The opening match of the evening saw Low Ki take on The Amazing Red in a match that lived up to the advanced billing. The two men put on an X Division classic that saw Low Ki score the pin with the Ki Krusher 99.
The Hot Shots then came out to the ring for their match with Wildcat Chris Harris and Cowboy James Storm. Before the match, Goldylocks did an interview with Storm and Harris where we found out that it was the Hot Shots that attacked Storm and Harris at the NWA Tag Team Tournament and they were going for revenge tonight. During the interview, Storm was talking in cowboy vernacular and Harris told him to stop it. He told Storm that the gimmick he was doing was lame and he should leave the cowboy outfit in the back.
Then it was back to the ring for the match, which Harris and Storm won when Harris hit a Northern Lights Suplex. After the match, the Hot Shots attacked Storm and Harris and laid them out. They then took the pistols from Storm's ring outfit and pistol whipped Storm and Harris.
In the back, the doctor was attending to a groggy Ken Shamrock when the NWA champion came to. Shamrock grabbed the doctor and demanded to be told where Jeff Jarrett was. The doctor said that he didn't know and Shamrock stormed off looking for the man who hit him with the chair.
Brian Lawler then took on Apolo. Lawler cheated liberally during the match, even choking Apolo with his neck chain. He also spent too much time dancing and playing to the crowd, which led to Apolo rolling him up by surprise and scoring the pin. Lawler was enraged when he left the ring and walked by the announcers' table. He set his sights on Don West and then started choking West. Luckily, Lawler was pulled off West before he did any major damage.
K Krush then came out to the ring. He told the fans that his name was no longer K Krush. His name is now "The Truth". He said that "they" named him and no longer will he be "their damn puppet". He said that from here on out, no one will tell him what to say or do. From now on, it's about the Truth. He compared himself to other great athletes, like Mike Tyson and Allen Iverson, who have also been held down by "them". Finally, Monty Brown came out and said that everyone has heard enough about what The Truth had to say. He said that what Krush said about not getting an opportunity was BS. Finally, Brown said he might just take out The Truth right now, laying down the challenge to the man formerly known as Krush. Truth accepted and they
