View Full Version : Could you recommend a good Italian Restaurant in NYC
I planning on going into the City and was wondering if any of you knew of a good (reasonably priced) Italian restaurant in NYC?

Paesano's of mulberry street has great food and great prices. The fried ravioli rule!
Also on mulberry one block up: daNico. Try the cheese tortellini, they're to die for.

Minetta's Tavern on Minetta Lane in the Village. Old but good.
Serafina on (I think it's on
Madison and 79th)
- go to the top floor -it has a balcony with a nice breeze.
See ya!

Personally, I'd stay off Mullberry.<p>
What exactly do you mean by moderately priced? $50 for two, $75 for two? Hard to find a real good place for much cheaper than that, especially if you're going for wine, appetizer, and desert. Maybe you'd like to stick to the Garden State, I could recomend some "moderately priced" AMAZING restraunts in Norther Jersey.
However, since you'll be in the city, try Cafe' Fiorello, on Broadway btwn. 63rd and 64th. (212) 595-5330 for a reservation. You'll be amazed by their appetizer bar, and the cuts of meat. Gonna cost about $60 for two with no cocktails.

Lupa at 170 Thompson St (between Bleecker & Houston)
The best Italian meal for the money in NYC. Whatever you do, don't miss the baseball-size scoop of hazelnut ice cream laced with chunks of chocolate biscotti for dessert.
"I'm really concerned, doctor. You don't think it could be...(lowers voice)...drugs, do you?"
Thanks Guys!! Maybe I will try them all!! I think I will try to get their menus off the internet if they have them.
If anyone else has suggestions, please offer it up! Others may also be interested! People that don't live in the City usually have NO IDEA where to eat.

I'm a fan of Da Nico, too. Definitely the best food I've had in Little Italy. Though I've never been up that way myself, many people swear by the

I like Carmine's Restaurant. They have two places
200 W. 44th Street
212-221-3800.
And on 91st street and Broadway
Family style service l (you gets lots of it) and the food is excellent.
Have taken many clients and freinds there and could not go wrong.

I have found Paisano's food can be bland sometimes. But there's plenty of good places in Little Italy.
Check citysearch and see which they recommend as well.
