I love climbing trees to this day.

I would climb the tallest trees until the smell, higher branches would begin to crack and fall below my weight.

Were you a tree climber?

I remember having sap on my hands, jeans and all over my sneakers.

There was this awful - yet exciting - urge to jump when I got up nearthe top. I guess that is what inspired me to jump out of planes when I was in the Army.

i climbed every f/n tree i could........but id stop at a certain height........ horrible fear of heights. So when i was old and stupid enough i climbed one of those radio relay towers with the red lights you see sometimes.... my all time act of stupidity.....froze up many times on the way up....smoked a joint at the top....... but im not AS afraid of heights as i was, and ill never forget it. <P>

I once climbed a tree and feel, I needed about 24 stiches and my knees have botered me ever since. my back too. ever since that say, i have never climbed trees.

have to agree, climbing trees was great... you were always looking for that tree that had that first branch that could get you started...
going high as possible was never a problem...

loved to adventure through burned out or abandoned buildings as well

I loved climbing trees. Some of my friends and I had a rope strung between two trees with a seat on a pulley. Since one end was lower, you could sit on the seat and ride over to the other tree.

To get back, you had to pull yourself, but it was still fun.
