I think many of the guys mat relate to this question.
I had a Mongoose BMX bike with all of the stickers pulled off, with pegs, and with a racing shield on the front (I never raced once in a league).
I loved to pedal my by down my street and then just jump off and watch the bike coast (ghost ride) until it tumbled and wrecked like a pre-adolescent Nascar.
Who's with me?

I have a large hill on my property, so the kids in the neighborhood would sometimes come to my house to Ghost Ride their bikes down it. It was retarded, but passed the time. And was fun for some reason.
I'm with ya Rooster!

ghost rides ruled until you hit someone's car.....panic would hit....should i go and retrieve the bike or just run? What will I tell my parents about how i "lost" my bike?
My favorite was "jousting ghost riders"
the best in painless collision.

Ha ha! I had a "Stingray" bike, with banana seat, 3 speeds, a radio/headlight and a huge sissy bar.
Oh yeah, I think it also had a horn!
As for being reckless, my cousin Thor used to ride down the street at full speed and suddenly jump off his bike, diving into garbage cans. He thought he was Steve Austin, The "Six Million Dollar Man".
That explains a lot about him.

I used to do this to my huffy.
That's right. I had a huffy. After
several years of therapy I can
admit this.

I was lucky enough to live by a REALLY big hillwhen I was a kid, so ghost rides were frequent and long for our bikes

I was definitely a ghostrider. Except I never understood how he was able to get through to those kids when no one else could...and why they all wrote the same way and really slowly...it made no sense. But at least they were multicultural.

OHHHHHH YEAH i loved ghost riding my bike. Still do it for fun today. One time we nailed this guys mail box and almost hit a stroller, WITH A BABY IN IT! The guy was mighty pissed, and gave us our bike back. He then left his house and we went and nailed the mailbox again as a sign of rebellion. Take that asshole

HELL YEAH!! Ghost riding bikes is good times. Not, however, as much fun as ghost riding a scooter. With those big inflatable tires and the brakes and everything. You get going fast, then give it one big kick off and it flies. The best was to do it into one of those concrete barriers in a parking lot or a curb. Goddamn, that was fun.
