I think you're right to some degree. I think most people are just really picky about who they go out with, it might not necessarily be a type, just an image they have in their head of the "ideal" man or woman. Two people don't have to be totally compatible to have a good relationship. I learn a lot from people who are different from me, but I am guilty of usually just dating "my type" which is not a very broad category.

My type is the type who wants to be with me, enjoys my company, hey maybe even loves me. I try to never restrict myself to one type of person, one just might miss out on something incredible.

The things that i find attractive in a guy aren't the TYPICAL THINGS girls look in - OK OK...Im a HUGE sucker for eyes and smile- EYES more though- I am attracted to the NICE GUY but the NICE GUY is always CLUELESS so i just shy away and never let my feelings ever really be known - yep its not good to have things eat at you but BUT its safer than BEING REJECTED...BUT id i was lucky to meet a swell guy it would be the nice guy NOT AN ASSWIPE SHIT HEAD DOUCHE BAG!!!!!!!

I'll get off my SOAP BOX now!

I am a goofball & swell to boot

i've tried to date out of my type, which had historically been one of two things:

1 - the really hot guy who's a compete dick and has no future, or

2 - the really sweet guy that i end up hurting

i've tried really hard to break out of this, but it's been hard. when i pick out a nice boy that i think could actually be good for me, he seems to keep turning into the same asshole guy i dated in high school, except this one has a job. eh, i'll keep trying...

oh and did i forget type 3?? the dreaded "guy with a girlfriend".. damn i hate those

Physically, I don't have a specific 'type" There are beautiful women in all heights, shapes, colors, aspect ratios, etc. Although, I will never, never, never date another therapist.

I like my women the way I like my coffee, in a plastic cup.

I think most people stick to a certain "type" whether it be their looks, personality, etc. I have noticed with friends of mine that their past girlfriends/guyfriends seem to look alike. This seems to make sense as our taste rarely changes. I do think, though, that as a person matures, their tastes change. What I was attracted to 10 years ago, is totally different from what I am attracted to now.

You mean I can stop dating neurotic psychotic women who will treat me bad?

You can put in a room with 500 normal women and one nut that acts normal and I will end up with her no matter what.

Oh well I can dream can't I?

2 - the really sweet guy that i end up hurting

Arienette? Shelle? Can I be that sweet guy? :)

I usually wind up dating the psycho chicks, because I have self-esteem issues. Sometimes I just don't feel good enough for the nice girls!

my type tends to be short, blond, large breasted
soccer players. i'm on a roll of about 3 years worth
of them. i dont look for them at soccer houses, or
at games or anything. in fact i tend to meet them
somewhere totally outside of it! i find out later on...
the DD's are jsut a preference, and blond is just
luck.

i've tried dating outside this type, but for some
reason it never works out. either way, i'm up for
anyone, as long as i find them attractive.

to quote uncle kracker yet again: "i stay pretty
stuck in a rut like i should, and i do it for the love of

i dont really think i have a type, i like boys and girls, so i dont even have that classification. if i were to say i had any type at all, it would be "different" someone who doesnt really fit the mold. or isnt what society calls beautiful....

I dont really think I have a "type". Im attracted to all types of females...whether theyre white, black, asian hispanic...etc. I do however always seem hungup over females I cant have....I always get the "I think of you as a brother" or " I dont think of you like that" speech. Sucks huh ?

There are only two women in my life that I blatantly asked out on a date, those two people weren't my normal "type." All the other women I've dated were an exact type because they always made the first move.
After a while I grew an appreciation for a little fowardness. But I'm still timid. At least not psychotic timid anymore.
I guess my type would be women that breathe. Oh, who am I kidding, I'll take the cold ones too.

Growing up, I was typically seen with philipinos. They were my type all through high school but i've learned my lesson and have broken free from them. I don't have a type anymore. It's all about how a person makes me feel. After my philipino streak, I went to a russian and now an african american.
