IT'S SABUUUUUUUUU!
This week's edition of NWA TNA opened up with Goldylocks trying to interview a very mad Ken Shamrock, taped earlier this week. The NWA champ was not in a good mood and told Goldylocks to take a walk, though he used much more colorful terms.
Then, it was off to the announcers' table. All eyes were fixed on a ladder that stood in the middle of the ring, which of course was the instrument of destruction that would be used by Jeff Jarrett and Malice to determine who would grab the contract that was hanging over the ring and determine who would get the right to face Shamrock in an NWA Title match next week.
Just then, there was a disturbance in the back and we saw Jarrett in the midst of a brawl with Scott Hall. The men beat on each other all around the back before security finally separated the men. NWA official Bill Behrens then told Jarrett that due to his conduct, he forfeited his match tonight against Malice. Jarrett was irate, telling Behrens he didn't have the power to do that. Behrens said he did.
Father James Mitchell then came to ringside with Malice, Slash and Tempest. Mitchell said that even though Malice now got the title shot by default, since Jarrett was out of the match, his big man still wanted to beat someone up. He challenged anyone from the back to come out and take on Malice. The lights went off. When they came on, the homicidal maniac himself, Sabu, was in the ring and the match was on.
Their match was a bloody war. Sabu was busted open early on, and was bleeding profusely from his nose. But in the end, Malice paid the price for Mitchell's challenge as Sabu won the ladder match when he scaled it in the middle of the ring and grabbed the contract to get the NWA Title shot at Shamrock. After the match, Mitchell's crew put a serious beating on Sabu, with Malice finally chokeslamming Sabu from the apron through a table that was set up on the floor.
The match had already been made by then however and next week Ken Shamrock will defend his NWA World Heavyweight Title against Sabu.
They cut to the back where Jeff Jarrett was being evicted by security. He was jawing with Bill Behrens, who told Jarrett to take a hike. Jarrett screamed that he was screwed as he was being taken away.
AJ Styles came out to the ring and called out Jerry Lynn. He told Lynn that he owed him an explanation as to why he was laid out last week by his partner. Lynn came out and told Styles that he attacked him last week because Styles hadn't paid his dues like Lynn has. Lynn said that he had 14 years in the business and has been through the low points the business offers while Styles hasn't. That is why he turned on him last week. He then asked Styles if he understood him, and Styles said he did. When Lynn turned around, Styles attacked him and laid him out with The Styles Clash.
In the back, Goldylocks was about interview Jasmin St. Claire when Francine attacked Jasmin and left her laying in the shower, with the water running.
K Krush then came out to the ring. He told the fans that he was a star. He said that he hasn't been respected by TNA. He said it made no sense that he had to wrestle a NASCAR driver. He asked why the WWF let him go, then told us it was because they were afraid of how good he was. He said that all of his life he has been treated like a second class citizen because people fear him. He said that they better fear him too, because from here on out he will take what is supposed to be his. He said that he is the truth and that the truth will not be denied. When he was done talking, his opponent, Norman Smiley, came out for their match. Krush's telling of the truth began tonight when he beat Smiley with a pinfall off of a suplex. That wasn't all though. After the match, he took off his belt and began whipping Smiley with it. He then hung Smiley over the top rope with the belt until Smiley's wife came out from the back to make him stop, and actually slapped Krush. Krush w
