I also remember when the MTA had green buses, and the R Train was the RR, and the N Train was called the C-Beach Express.
I also remember the great the incredible Times Square subway station, with the record store blasting salsa, the food stands and hell, I even remember vending machines on subway platforms! I have to stop watching AMC I guess.

I wasn't alive then, but after watching the French connection, I thought it was cool that the squad cars from the early 70's had a single round, bubble siren on them. It looked neat

Heckler I sure remember the green cars with the white tops, The unairconditioned green buses of the NYCTA, and the vebding machines in the stations. How many buses did you use to see with the whole window frame hanging from the side?

I remember when the buses were green. I cannot recall any police cars. I always get a kick out of the beginning intro on the Odd Couple where they show 60s NY. I get a kick out of the cabs as well.

Remember when you could smoke on the bus?
