my day with spongebob...

today i went to a party for july 4/my cousin's 5th birthday... and i met spongebob!! not only that, but i got to take a picture with him! it was very exciting all around...

now, i realize that it's more than likely that this was just a guy in a spongebob outfit, but still. i felt like we bonded and he DID look a lot like spongebob himself. but, alas, there was a sad little incident...

i was feeling pretty badly for the poor guy all day because he was stuck in that big yellow outfit, and it was pretty hot out. anyway, people at this party were drinking... my cousin (not the 5 year old) and some of his friends were doing shots of southern comfort. spongebob was around, and my cousin (who was really drunk) pulled him over and asked him to do a shot with them. spongebob gestured that he didnt want to... i think... it was kind of hard to tell with the big sponge head and all. anyway, i'm not sure of the specifics, but my cousin fed spongebob a shot through the mesh eyes of the costume. and spongebob went down. he's kneeling there (get your minds out of the gutter, this is not sexual, people) and all the drunken moron men were laughing at how he couldnt handle the shot... i went over to see if he was ok, and i just heard poor spongebob say "whiskey... eye... ouch". poor thing

never a dull moment...

Very, very odd. I was making a cut out and glue sponge bob earlier today with my 4 y/o. While I'm messing with this stupid sponge and elmers glue I knock over my rum and coke, spilling it all over. Of course the stupid sponge just instantly fills up with my drink. <P>
Anyway how stoned does someone have to be to invent such a weird thing? I've done psych treatment with some nutty folks and if one of them ever showed me drawings of a sponge-bob like thing I'd probably refer them to the MD for a nice course of anti-psychotics. <P>
