Great rockabilly revival band. Robert Plant did a version of Elvis' "Little Sister" with them at the 1979 Concert for Kampuchea (if I'm not mistaken).

Never did see them while they were together, however I did TRY during their solo careers.Let me explain....It was around 1980.I was cruisin' by myself on a Saturday afternoon(in an altered state).I drove by the local theater that was famous for great shows, especially up and coming stars that we know of today.Same circuit as the Ritz or Palladium.

Looking up at the marquis I read Joan Armatradon / Dave Edmunds....or so I thought. Now don't forget I was by myself.I stopped, bought A ticket, went home, ate, showered, went back to the venue(re-altered).30 people in the audience.Joan was new on the scene, but she was great. It felt like she was playing just for me.Now she gets done and it's time for the big headliner. And to my surprise(and dismay) a guy comes out singing..."Sunshine go away today!"....aaaauuuggghh!!!

It wasn't Dave Edmunds,it was Jonathan Richmond.

Ergo; my crusade against drugs.

It was actually Jonathan Edwards. I did catch Rockpile a few times ,the Academy of Music, and Belmont race track come to mind.At Belmont the opened with a rockin'"The Race is On".The crowd wwnt wild the horses went nuts.Billy Bremer,Nick and Dave were not a quiet bunch,I don,t think the horses calmed down the whole set.

I still play "Seconds of Pleasure" on a weekly basis. As a matter of fact, I dance around the living room to "Heart" with my 5 month old daughter.

It's a good thing.
