He defends his belt regulalry the story lines with
him are great and he is just not fighting the same
guy over and over. He has wrastled Van Dam,
Orton, Dreamer, Hogan, Helmsley, Angle just to
name a few. Most of his matches are real good. I
think we should give this man his due and I hope
he holds on to the strap for awhile......

He's got too much pull backstage, hes getting old
and he's just become to boring too watch now. I never liked this "new" Undertaker.

I got news.... other than maybe Helmsley probably
no wreslter has real back stage pull. Yes I am sure
if the Rock made demands they would be listened
to and If undertaker has something to say I am
sure Vince would listen but it would not affect what
he does. Undertaker is not really known in the out
of the wrestling world so he has no pull. I have to
say most of his matches except for the ones with
Hogan has been very good and the story lines have
been great!

I respect Undertaker for his recent ability to, on screen, give props to younger wrestlers, ie: Cena and Jeff Hardy.

Kinda, indirectly passing the torch to the younger members of the WWE.

He has a good character and can adjust to anyones style. But that doesn't mean hes a good wrestler. He is a simple punch kick guy and thats about it. I dont love him for his wrestling I love him for what he has done - The guy is a significant part in wrestling history and lets leave it at that.

taker is still a great champion. he works the mike well, and while his matches aren't on the level of say rvd, benoit, or angle, they're still very entertaining. i'd rather watch him than hhh or the rock any day. and his little fueds with the young guys have been doing a lot to get them over.

Mad props to the Undertaker!

I'll give him credit - at least he tries hard.

But really....he's bad in the ring. He was never Ric f'ing Flair in there, but lately the years and his age have really gotten the worse of him. He should consider this "one last run" with the belt and hang up the boots. He SHOULD be putting over the younger guys at this point.

He shakes two guys hands and suddenly he's putting over young guys? He gave Jeff almost ZERO offense, and squashed him in what was supposed to be jeffs speciality match. That match basically said, no matter what happens, no matter how heavily the odds are in his favor, Jeff Hardy is a jobber.

I am not talking about shaking hands to put guys
over.... I am talking about having a story line with
Dreamer so the fans actually know who he is. can
you see the Rock or Helmsley doing that... NOPE
because they only fight once a month and can;t
waste there time fighting the likes of Dreamer. He
also lost his belt even if it was for a couple of
seconds to van Dam. Undertaker is a fighting
champion and is haveing several feuds at the same
time. I can't recall when any other wreslter gets
more than 2 but Taker is feuding with the hardies,
Angle, Rock and Helmsly all at the same time.... that
is what I calll having a great

1) Whats better, being less well known, or being well known as Takers bitch and the guy that drinks dip spit?

2) You must not watch often, because the Rock as had more matches with mid card talent than almost any main eventer I can think of. And he with out question jobs more often than an other main eventer.

Yes Rock did fight mid carders but they never had
story lines to it... It was like let the Rock stand onn
the ropse for 10 minutes yap for another 10
minutes then beat a whimp for 5 minutes. Taker
gives the wimp more time. Also that taker Angle
match last night was another great match!!!

The often maligned Scott Keith actually had a good point about the Undertaker. Take into consideration, his match with Jeff Hardy on RAW this past week:

did anyone give Hardy half a chance even with JR's relentless cheerleading?...... Taker powerbombs him for good measure, but Hardy wants some more. Taker obliges, but changes his mind and shakes his hand instead. This was more about turning UT babyface again than doing anything useful for Hardy. I mean, they spend like two months having Hardy get MURDERED week after week, they have the big blowoff match where no one believes Jeff has any chance, Undertaker just destroys him again, and then offers a handshake as the big payoff to put him over? What a guy. If *I* got to chokeslam someone off a ladder, powerbomb him like 15 times, chairshot him into a quivering heap of jelly and make him look like a jobber, I'd be willing to offer a handshake in lieu of putting him over in any meaningful way, too.

Therein lies the problem.

Being involved in a program with someone, a "younger" guy or someone who isn't an established name yet in the business.....that's not putting them over. Jobbing to them isn't really putting them over either if it's done so that the jobber doesn't lose any heat off of the loss. HHH is a MASTER at this - he will job to people when doing so is meaningless (ex. D-Von a few weeks back on Smackdown), or has little to no impact upon his heat (ex. 2 - losing to Test on Smackdown a few weeks ago as well). Yet when it comes to jobbing to Chris Jericho, that's suddenly too much to ask.

So I don't exactly consider Undertaker as "putting over" the non-established talent. Beating the living shit out of Jeff Hardy every week does NOTHING for Hardy, because's he's portrayed as nothing but Undertaker's bitch. Punking out Tommy Dreamer and making him drink tobacco spit does NOT put Dreamer over. It's not the same thing as when Rock (repeatedly) jobbed to Jericho, giving Chris that extra boost to cement him as an upper card worthy talent.

The closest guy that Taker has come to putting over is RVD. HOPEFULLY, if they have another match, he'll do the right thing and really do the time honored tradition for the guy.
