They were furry? Perhaps I'm confused... I always thought that with the exception of Papa Smurf and his beard and Smurfette with her teasing blond tresses, Smurfs were relatively fur free. Of course, I could be wrong. But I'm sure you're right, HK, they were definitely snacks. They must have been exceptionally tasty... look how often that cat, Azriel, tried to eat them despite the fact that Gargamel needed them alive for his spells. They must have been nearly irresistable.
