How many of you remember the animated movie Watership Down? I just bought it on DVD, and I haven't seen it in years. I forgot how great it was.

Did anyone read the book? If so, how does the movie compare to it?

Totally awesome movie!! It's sooo much better when you see it as an adult. Really really good. There is actually an animated series that breaks the movie down into 30 minute segments. Kinda like a mini-series. It S U C KS!!! They've made it much less vilent and much more cute and cuddly. Avoid the TV series.
THis is one of the few movies that people say is actually BETTER than the book, although I've never read it. That's just what I've heard.
Damn...I'm gonna run out and rent that right now. Thanx.

explains how e had to dig himself
out of the rabbit hole after men
filled in all the exits. he was all
cut up and shit.

Watership Down is a wonderful book. It comes across entirely differently than the movie.

I didn't know about the movie,
but the book is fantastic. It is
written in the language of the
rabbits "Lapine", with the
complete dictionary in the back.
So you too can learn to speak
Lapine.
