worst was i went on a date and the woman had more facial hair then i had.
Best I was talking to this woman by the name of Katie, she was from atlanta here in new york for a summer to do a album, well we chatted for a long time and the day before she left we decided to meet up for lunch, I sent her my pic, and she did not have one. She then told me what she looked like. So she said lets meet at Newport Mall I said outside the Disney store at 7 pm. Well I was there and waited and waited. At 715 I was gonna leave thinking she saw me and thought I was ugly. Well just as I was about to leave up on the escaltor came this unbelievablly beautiful woman she was about 5'5 120lb blonde hair and blue eyes and she smiled at me. I did not even notice her she came to me and said Leo is that rose for me and I looked at her and said maybe. She said I am katie. Well we had dinner and had a good time she told me she had a picture but she did not give it to me cause when guys saw her picture they did not want to get to know her they just had other intentions the funniest part was when we were going up the escalotrs coming down the other side were a bunch of "cool kids" with their pants down there ankles one was checking her out and lost his balance and went flying down the escalator. she laughed. I took her home and outside her apartment she said she had a really great time with me. and I said the same I gave her a kiss on the cheek and I told her good bye and thank you for a wonderful time. and then I left

the epitome of masculinity (yeah right)
The only people I've ever met off of the internet are all of you crazy bastards on this message board.
A few years ago, I thought people that chatted with (and met) others over the web were total weirdos.
Now I know it for a fact.

well my ex, aka the love of my life aka mysery, i met
in a chat room while i was at school... the funny
part is we didn't plan on meeting. i have a lot of ppl
on AOL that i jsut talk to, even some within 15 mins
of my house, that have no idea what i look like and i
jsut tlak to. i wouldn't meet em, not my style.
anyway i as in the albany train station to go see a
freind at plattsburgh and i was filling out some
dumb student thing and my email was on it, she
looked over and was like "OMG i'm jessy (insert SN
here)!!!" and i was like... this is a good thing (too
hot 4 me LOL). so anyway long story short i was in
romantic bliss for about a year and starting about
14 months ago she decided to wreck my life. or
atleast to. sleepless in upstate LOL!!!

I've done it twice, and both times were failures. One girl lied about what she looked like--actually gave me a fake height/weight when she sent her head shot pic. Did she think I wouldnt notice? And another was attractive, but waaayyyy too negative. She seemed so up, friendly and positive online. But when we met, she complained about the weather, wait staff, food, school, parents, blah blah blah..yuck. I'd do it again, but I'm at a point where I dont believe anything anyone tells me online..present company excluded....mostly.

I haven't met anyone, but my brother met his current wife in a Catholic chat room. He works many hours a week and had didn't have the time or energy for bars. Also, he is a recovered alcholic (for 10 years) and tries to stay out of bars altogether. It worked out nice for him.

yeah I met my ex in a chatroom too.. we were together for 2,5 years.
I even moved to the other side of the country to be with him..
It's always kinda strange if you see somebody for the first time, but if you talk to somebody online everyday you start to know a person. So you aren't complete strangers anymore.

HOLY SHNIKEES!! Great topic...THE BEST had to have been this very nice fella who invited me- MIND YOU - a TOTAL stranger I am to this guy -TO NYC to see a show at a comedy club....It was him and his 2 friends- very nice guys adn very funny- his one friend was giving out blank checks and crap it was hilarious- HAD TO BE THERE- I WAS REALLY REALLY shy- I am naturally- and nervous because i didn't want him to see the goofball i really am or like have him think i was a weirdo or something...well i guess i am an OK person cause we still chat on IM and via Email...IT was a very neat-o night dispite i almost fell asleep driving back to philly on the NJ turnpike at like 4:00am- LOL
The worst was this guy(scott)- I don't give a F&*K if he reads this- I highly doubt it since he doesn't really listen to Ron and Fez- who i found under O&A in AOL...we talked for like 4+ months on computer and then went to phone...well it was a week before school ended and i had a free day so i met him up in NYC -mind you i am from philly- and he showed me a great time- i saw parts of NYC i would never get to see....well any wat a few weeks pass as we still talk to one another and then he said something completely AWEFUL about me which he had no place in saying...so after that he got all wierd and i seriously thinks hes GOT MENTAL PROBS cause he then THINKS i am STALKING HIM...whatever!!!!!! i called him twice after that shit went down and then I BLOCKED HIM from my BUDDY LISTS...ASSHOLE!!!

i met some girl in a chat room and i thought i hit the jackpot cuase she said she could cook and gives great head so she's been told when i got to her house in deep boondocks queens she was on the downside of average looking and a sloopy sloopy kisser. she also liked to have her air conditioner which was placed right above the bed she had it on high! 15 degrees is not ideal sleeping temp........but i'd do it again lol

none of my experiences have been neccisarily bad...
*thinks*
oh yeah.
***
this one is more weird than anything else. i would go to the mall all the time, and i always saw this cute guy workin at one of the stores *mall and store name will not be divulged* anyway, i'd never get up the cajones to talk to him. then one day, i was just bored and looking for people to talk to on AIM. of all the people, i read his profile and started talking to him ... and it was the guy from the mall. we went out off and on for 2 years, and then he just broke my heart. sucks too, but i guess i learned some stuff from it. but it hasn't stopped me from meeting people online. sure, i'm a little more guarded about it, but i always give it a shot.

I think I watch too much america undercover cause I'm a little paranoid to be meeting people online. I don't think I could ever go meet someone I meet online for the simple fact that it might be a crazy weirdo and they might kidnap me and chop me into little pieces.

I've met 30-40 people off the internet. I used to be a chat host on MSN way back in the day and met a lot of people through that. Overall most were good experiences. I've never met anyone for romantic reasons though except once and that was a huge failure and also my first time meeting anyone from the net. Never really developed a longlasting offline friendship out of any of them either.
I love my sig.
