clerks is my favorite.
mallrats is the funniest.
dogma was his best shot at a real film.
jay and silent bob was alright.
chasing amy was a great screenplay but afleck ruined it.

CHASING AMY was great on every level. I'm suprised it didn't make more $$.

DOGMA really disappointed me. I wanted it to really break Kevin Smith instead, it solidified his place in the "Shit and fart humour" king.

chasing amy really didnt hold up for me at all compared to the other films--I expected a lot more laughs--clerks and mallrats was so perfectly classic!

someone explain why ...why chasing amy was good?

It's a tie between Chasing Amy and Mallrats. Chasing Amy because the characters were very real to me, and mallrats because it was just the funniest shit I've seen.

Overall, I'd go with Clerks. That's still the greatest to me.

- chasing amy is the best screenplay - clerks was the smartest - mallrats was the funniest - JSBSB moved the fastest. 90 minutes feels like 20 watching that movie - Dogma was mixed the intelligence with the humor the best <P>

I have all the Kevin smith movies on DVD..even the cartoon one, which I think is funny myself. But my favorite is the original Clerks.
