The recent bit on the teachers.

(I hope I'm posting this in the right place). As a 16-year-old punk kid, I actually agree with Horde King that teachers are the least respected American heroes. I just had a teacher this year who couldn't get his students to shut the fuck up if he paid them to. With this expirence, I have to agree with the Horde King and I was just wondering if anyone else felt this way. If this thread gets locked please tell me where I can post this.

Im 16, i listen to punk rock and other "destructive" music. But I don't dress punk, let alone think about anarchy or corrupting society. How does this effect the teacher conversation. Easy, kids in high school are rebelling, and the kids who can't rebel against thier parents, rebel against teachers. I have lots of really cool teachers, that Ive learned lots from and enjoyed thier classes, and Ive had some I hated.

Im taking geometry over not because I failed, but because I felt like i needed it. (im taking it online this summer. =) )

The teachers need to just be more lax, and just respect the kids. The parents need to support the teachers more. My parents hated my geometry teacher because he wouldn't give us after school help and stuff, but they loved my other teachers because they helped us, and made learning a little less tedious.

like the catholic school teacher said that some of the older teachers dont know about their students. I'm 16 too, and some of my teachers are assholes, but some were cool. some have no control over the class. my damn chemistry teacher didnt get nothing. if u were late to class, she would write it down, and she would save the pass. she was a damn nut. i heard she froze her cat after it died. she was a horrible teacher, i ended up gettin a tutor and havent any phone calls telling me i failed the chem regents.

some of the younger teachers might get what the kids are going through, but some can be pushed over. if the teacher cant control the class the first time they are together, they never will. its always the same kids who talk all the same old crap. gets old after a while, same jokes, same crap.
