I read this. On the one hand, he does make some good points.
But his anger is kind of misplaced. And what he really seems to be angry with is that his match was underrated by the net fans, when the general consensus was that it was the best match of the night (although not exactly the "4 1/2" star classic Chris thinks it was).
He makes some valid points. but bottom line.....he shouldn't care what the net fans think. And the net fans have a right to bitch & moan about whatever they want to if they're paying for the PPV.

I agree with the majority of what Jericho had to say. Too many 'fans' of wrestling NEVER have anything good to say about the product. And if you wanted more from Jericho's match, maybe it is time for you to find something new to watch on Monday & Thursday nights.

he seems a little too touchy but he's right. wrestling has to be the only show in the world where people continually complain instead of just not watching.
i thought his match was the money.

I agree with him 100%. Se7en, I don't mean to
single you out, but you were one of the first people
I thought of when he said nothing they do is good
enough for you anymore. Obviously he wasn't
talking to you directly, but there a million people out
there that just criticize everything these guys do
night in and night out without taking the time to
realize that they are out there trying to entertain
you. Just let them go and stop critizicing. Once
again Se7en I have nothing against you, I enjoy
reading what you have to say, everyone is entitled
to their own opinion, but sometimes everyone
should just stop criticzing and let the

Could you blame Y2J for his comments? Just enjoy the sport and stop criticizing.

Well, to be honest, I'm a very cynical person anyway. And I'm naturally pessimistic, so I'm one of those kinds of people who is usually more obsessed with the flaws than the perfections.
there a million people out there that just criticize everything these guys do night in and night out without taking the time to realize that they are out there trying to entertain
you.
I respect that they do that, I really do. Sometimes I do think I'm overly critical. Part of it is because, as silly as this sounds, I'm actually very passionate about the business (I know I have a strange way of showing it). So I get very frustrated when I see the product being done so poorly.
I DO, however, feel that if you are a "fan" or regular viewer of the federation, that you do have a right to complain about the product. This is the one part of Jericho's argument that I really disagree with. It does reek a little too much of "You'll eat our crap and like it." If the company is putting out a bad product (and I think we can all agree that, despite differing opinions on how bad it may be, it has suffered on some level in the past year or so), than I do think the fans have a right to complain no matter how much heart or effort guys like Jericho are putting into their work. I believe you can still respect the effort of the performers while also being critical of the overall quality of the company.
I understand Jericho's frustrations. Of all the guys in the WWE, I feel for him the most, because he's a guy that has risen above expectations, has won the World title, and has flirted with being a consistent main eventer, and yet he's still shuffled around in the midcard and often booked in ways I'm sure he's probably not happy with. So he's frustrated by it. I can sympathize with him for that.

I totally agree with Se7en here....
Anyone whos passionate about things will complain when the product starts to suffer, it happens with comic books, movies, (especailly movie adaptations) and wrestling.
We love the genre, we watch it all the time, we put a lot of time and money into it, and we complain when it becomes sub par, hoping somebody listens and tries to change it before we say, "I've had enough, I give up...."
I beleive Jericho is frustrated. I mean, he's the first ever undisputed champion and he opens a PPV? then he puts on a spectacular match that gets completely overshadowed by the fustercluck ending....
....and he's probably reminded of what happened in the late days of WCW....
I beleive Austin felt the same way, and that's why he left. Remember, these people have seen the walls breaking down around them before, and they recognize the creaking sound....
WCW is dead, done, gone... the fed that saw Dusty Rhodes classic fueds with the Horsemen, Flair-Steamboat, the Varsity club, the Midnight Express, The Great Muta, Sting, the Road Warriors vs. the Powers of Pain....
....and it's all gone, and those of us who watched Bischoff Russo and Nash and Hogan ruin the company can only mourn, and say "I told you so," and that's what we're going to do when the WWWF - WWF - WWE is just a pile of smouldering embers....
....Maybe then Hogan will retire, when he takes wrestling with him.

For my man tompoo,
Hello Jackoffs...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All right, I've had it. You want a war? Now you've got one. I'm suffering from a bout of insomnia, so I decided to go on the web and check out the reviews of the King Of The Ring from tonight, more specifically on the PW Torch website. After reading what all of you "smarks" (and believe me, you are all still marks) had to say about my match and the show, I am
furious.
Everybody has the right to an opinion and here's mine. I am sick of all you holier than thou, pompous, jackasses. That's it. That's all. Baby goes to sleep now. I had one of my best matches of the year tonight with RVD, that featured 20 minutes of tremendous action, innovative false finishes and an absolutely tremendous crowd. It was everything I could've asked for in a match and it was in my opinion, an off the charts performance from RVD and myself, match of the year caliber . I was so excited about the contest and I can humbly state that we stole the show. The crowd was so into it that they were burned out after we went on, quiet for the next 3-4 matches. They ate up every move from start to finish, and they enjoyed the hell out of it.
But now I read the opinions of some of you. Many of you state that the
match was very good or excellent. I agree. But many others are saying that the match was slow and predictable with one jackass even saying that it was one of the worst matches of my career!!! How can you honestly say that? What the hell do you people want? What is it that you are looking for? We go out there and bust our asses to entertain you (and if the Columbus fans were quiet, they sure as hell weren't during my match, they were entertained) and your thoughts were that bad?
Well if you didn't like my match tonight, then you are out of luck if you're a Jericho fan, cause it was the best you're gonna get, jerky. That was CJ at his finest. Wrestling at it's finest. A great 4 1/2 star performance with a tremendous build, a great crowd and an awesome match.
If you didn't like it, then stop watching me and stop watching the WWE and take up bowling, cause you will never like anything we give you.
I'm the first one to admit when my performance is not up to snuff, or when
something was bad and I'm the most self critical person on the WWE roster, but tonight's performance was me at my finest. Didn't like it? Get the F out then and good riddance to you.
For all of you that enjoyed my match I say thanks. For those that didn't
like it, I don't care cause I'm through with you.
I am now finished with the internet and I'm finished with this site because I hate what you marks are doing. You've spoiled it for me. Your negativity is ridiculous. You all come off like a bunch of bitter know-it alls, who won't be happy with anything we give you. Nothing is ever good enough and quite frankly I'm over it. You are the same people that are saying that Attack of the Clones is boring, analyzing every little detail, instead of allowing yourselves to be entertained by it's magic.
It seems that some of you wish the wrestling business would dry up and die, because some of you dislike EVERYTHING we do. Is it always good? No, but we are killing ourselves to try and entertain you and if you don't respect that, then kiss my ass. I want the business to be around forever and I am doing my part to keep it great and I did that tonight, no matter what any of you think.
Alot of the boys pander to you on their websites, asking for your input and your thoughts and I used to be one of them. Guess what? I'm not anymore. Think what you want. I don't care. Do what you want. I don't care. Respond how you want too as well, because I won't be reading. I don't give a damn about what you think anymore...
One of the best wrestlers in the world and one of the performers in the
best match of the night and match of year candidate from the KOR,
Chris Jericho

JerryTaker has a very good point.
A lot of people here consider WCW worthless. I think that's ignorant, and in my more angry moments, I question whether anyone who so easily dismisses that promotion is a true wresting fan (especially if that individual badmouths WCW and then extolls the virtues of ECW). WCW, and the NWA before it, had a lot of positives. Ultimately, I suppose the negatives outweighed them, but it's not as if WCW never did anything right. It did. But it had so many problems it couldn't overcome them.
Fast forward, and those of us who were WCW fans....we're probably the ones who are the most paranoid about the current state of the WWE. Because we've already seen one promotion go under, and now we're beginning to see some of the same signs that led to the end of WCW creep into the WWE.
That's not to say that I think the WWE will fold; realistically, unless McMahon pulls some really stupid moves in the future, it will be years before the WWE is in danger of going under.
What I really worry is, if in the meantime it dies a slow, agonizing death and becomes devoid of creative ideas or good product.
