SO I tuen in to see The Red Hot Chili Pepper's "NEW' Behind the Music.
So about 50 minutes in it, I realize that It's ALL THE SAME FROM LAST TIME! And I remember the last one because they only played the old one 100 times a day!
So at the end, the last 5 minutes were about their last CD not doing that well, and how their new CD is due out soon. That's an update? Why don't you wait a few albums, THEN make a new episode? It too them from the 80's to get the first Behind the Music.
How LAME! Stop wasting my time!

Really? Californication was really the only Peppers album that I truly enjoyed.
Worst Behind the Music: Goo Goo Dolls. Does anyone really care that much about them?

They've run out of bands to profile (a long time ago), now it's what can we do to keep the show going?
Adn there are worse BTMs than the Goos. The Goos have a moderately interesting history, as opposed to some bands they profiled that had one album and no history.

There are loads of bands that haven't been covered on BEHIND THE MUSIC.
A few corporate/rock/arena bands have yet to be done (Boston, Foreigner, ELO, Abba, Queen, etc...)
and then theres the 80ies hairbands that came and went (Winger, Cinderella, Warrant etc...)
and they could also do 80ies pop and new wave like Depeche, Tears for Fears, Yaz, Erasure, Adam Ant, Madness etc etc.
And finally, I simply can NOT believe that they never made a BTM for Van Halen!!! That episode could be a G-d damn mini-series. In fact, they should do a two hour episode for Van Halen and a totally different one for David Lee Roth. The whole thing is one giant saga. "VH"-1 indeed!

I have to agree with you there about Californication...I thought it was pretty damn good.
But I still think the worst BTM was the Creed one. Maybe in a few years and a few more albums, but it was just way too soon. I guess it's just trying to appeal to a younger audience with more recent bands on the show, but I don't like it.

I can't believe Californication was unsuccessful. It was a great album and radio constantly played it.
Has anyone else noticed that Vanilla Ice's newer BTMs have edited out the part where he talks about his conversion to Christianity?
