You went crazy on the mouse there...

Best movie soundtrack? High Fidelity or Dazed and Confused. I'm sure I'll think of a better one, though.

soundtracks i really really like:

hurricane streets (de la soul, mercy playground, atari teenage riot, shadez of brooklyn, guster, etc.)

but i'm a cheerleader (dressy bessy, tattletale, sissy bar, miisa, april march, st.etienne, lois, boy kicks girl, rupaul, etc..)

foxfire (mystery machine, L7, the cramps, luscious jackson, kristen hersh, etc...)

i shot andy warhol (luna, r.e.m, wilco, ben lee, pavement, bettie serveert, yo la tengo, sergio mendes and brasil '66--the song on this soundtrack is that song they play on ron and fez)

basquiat (the toadies, pj harvey, joy division, tom waits, the pogues, david bowie, etc...)

dazed and confused (the runaways' cherry bomb...nuff said)

party girl (run dmc, dee lite, tom tom club, chanelle, etc..)

angus (green day, ash, dance hall crashers, weezer, the muffs, pansy division, etc...i got this on tape after i saw the movie. the tape is all crapped up now and it doesn't sound good, arggh.)

girls town (salt-n-pepa, luscious jackson, lamb, pj harvey, queen latifah, etc..)

walking and talking (billy bragg, billy bragg, billy bragg, etc..)

suburbia (elastica, sonic youth, boss hog, superchunk, beck, girls against boys, etc..)

beautiful thing (the mamas and the papas, the mamas and the papas, the mamas and the papas, etc...)

all over me (sleater kinney, the murmurs, helium, babes in toyland, geraldine fibbers, tuscadero, etc...)

little voice (billie holiday, judy garland, jane horrocks, tom jones, etc...)

stonewall (the shangri las, patti labelle, judy garland, barenaked ladies, the butterflies, etc...)

there are other soundtracks i really enjoy but these are my favorites.

i think a good soundtrack really makes a movie complete.

Why do you have to taint the board with that aweful mental image. I mean couldn't have said "Dancing Naked to Dirty Dancing" ????

i saw a movie titled "whatever," this past weekend. it was directed by susan skoog. great movie...but even better soundtrack.

david bowie, THE JAM, pattie smith, the ramones, siouxsie & the banshees, the cramps, blondie, roxy music, iggy pop, aimee mann, rush, and the pretenders.

that's a great soundtrack.

My first favorite soundtrack is the Star Wars Episode I soundtrack. John williams is a genius!

My second favorite is the Matrix soundtrack.

Well my favorite has always been the soundtrack to the movie "Singles". It's got Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Screaming Trees, Hendrix, Paul Westerberg, Alice in Chainrs, Chris Cornell, Mother Love Bone...it's by far the best that I have come across.
