From 1wrestling.com:
STEVE AUSTIN INVESTIGATED IN DOMESTIC ISSUE
by Dave Scherer and Jim Quigley
We received word last night from a few readers that there was a domestic incident with Steve Austin and his wife Debra at their home in San Antonio, TX yesterday morning.
Reader Paul Santellan sent this report.
I live in San Antonio, TX and was watching the KMOL 10 p.m. news last night. They reported that yesterday morning at 4 a.m. Debra Williams called the police to report Stone Cold Steve Austin (Steve Williams) had "hit her". They noted that she told police she was scared to call because her husband was a world famous wrestler. Apparently when police went to their home on the North West side she had welts and bruises on her body. She noted to the police that it had happened before. Steve was not at the home when police arrived.
Jim Quigley spoke with Eli Espinoza, who is the Assignment Editor at KMOL, this morning and Espinoza confirmed that the report aired on their news last night.
Espinoza added that Austin reportedly got into a yellow 2002 Corvette and left the home before the police arrived. Espinoza told us that Austin did call home when the police arrived and spoke with one of the officers, but refused to come home.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Allegedly Attacked Wife
http://www.kmol.com/Global/story.asp?S=821838&nav=5QT99d0u
World Wrestling Entertainment speaks out on wrestler, Stone Cold Steve Austin's alleged attack on his wife.
News 4 broke this story this weekend, professional wrestler, Steve Williams allegedly hit his wife, Debora in the face and back at their San Antonio home on the far Northwest Side. Mrs. Williams told police this isn't the first time it has happened and that she was scared to call the police.
Sunday, World Wrestling Entertainment had a response. They told News4 that this isn't the first bizarre behavior by Stone Cold. They say it started last week when he walked out of an event.
This is the statement by Senior Vice President of Talent Relations, Jim Ross.
"He took himself out of the game. Vince McMahon didn't, J.R. didn't. Steve Williams took Stone Cold and flew him to San Antonio."
President of WWE, Vince McMahon says,
"This is not a publicity stunt. This is something that unfortunately is sad."

Reuters: Wrestler Steve Austin Accused of Beating Wife
http://www.reuters.com/news_article.jhtml?type=entertainmentnews&StoryID=1100234
SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - The wife of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has accused the wrestling star of beating her after a weekend argument at their home in an upscale neighborhood of San Antonio, police said on Monday.
Debra Williams, also a professional wrestler, called police to the couple's home on Saturday night and told officers that Austin had beaten her on the head, back and legs then stormed out of the house before police arrived.
Austin called the house while officers were there and was told he was in trouble, according to a police report. Austin told them he understood, but declined a request to return to the house or report to the police station, the report said.
Williams has not filed a formal charge, so Austin is not considered a fugitive, according to Sgt. Gabe Trevino. Williams was not hospitalized after the alleged assault.
Austin, a native Texan and former North Texas State University football player began wrestling professionally in 1992 and is one of the leading stars of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation.
World Wrestling Entertainment spokesman Gary Davis said Austin recently failed to appear at two scheduled performances, one in Montreal and one in Austin, Texas, describing the no-shows as an "unacceptable violation of his contract."
Davis said Austin was apparently dissatisfied with the way his character was being developed for WWE shows. Williams, a former beauty queen, is also affiliated with World Wrestling Entertainment.

The saddest thing about that story is that they refer to Debra as a "professional wrestler..."

Now from last night I believe its a work.
If Vince McMahon on his apparent shoot about the status of Austin did not promote Summerslam and King of the Ring I thought it would be real. "He turned his back on you... blah, blah..."
I'm STILL not falling for it.

This is all hype for next months PPV Vengence or maybe even Summerslam. There's no way Vince would give up on someone who he invested so much time and effort too. Besides, Vince ALWAYS gives the fans what they want anyway.
