Matchbox or Hot Wheels?

Which cars did you like more?

Almost all of my cars were Matchbox. Hot Wheels seemed too cartoonish for me.

Remember the plastic tracks that they made for the cars? Eveyone in my neighborhood would bring their tracks to someone's house. We would build this monster course. You could build loops and jumps too.

matchbox rocked remember the tracks you could bulid for them i remember they had a matchbox outlet store in secacus where you could get all the cars cheap my mother used to take me there

thinking of a master plan aint nothing but sweat inside my hand so i dig deep in my pocket all my money is spent i dig deeper still coming up with lint so i start my mission leave my residence thinkinh how can i get some dead presidents

I kind of agree with you Mettalhead.As a bonafide Matchbox collector from the age of 4,by the time H W's came along I just felt betrayed.Those cars(though cartoon like) were shinier,streamlined,faster,you name it.My British double decker bus just couldn't compare.

Another thing that was going on at the time(in which you probably haven't thought of)was that every show we say on TV had some kind of Baris Custom Car featured in it.Match Box was slooow to jump on the "cool" car bandwagon.

To tell you the truth , I didn't even know I was this opinionated about this subject.

ive got about 500 matchbox/hotwheels cars. i always thought hotwheels had the cooler cars but their both good.
