Is it also true that when you are using live hand grenades and you don't throw it over the wall, you have to kick the grenade into a ditch...and if you don't do that in time you're drill instructor will throw you on top of the grenade? That's something I heard from an old marine friend.

I saw something on TV not long ago on either TLC or Discovery or something like that called Making a Marine. It was 3 1 hour episodes that followed a few recruits through bootcamp from arrival to graduation. It was some hardcore shit.
