Why??

Well, tonight it became official. After at least in my mind a month of having a feeling it was coming, my girlfriend of just over 9 months and I split. Although the split was mutual (since neither of us were very happy anymore), it still doesn't ease the blow.

She was/is my best friend and I feel like I completely wasted her time.

Is ther anyone on now that would be willing to talk to me? I could sure use a friend. If so, please IM me (AOL) at jezta0434, I'll be on a while longer.

hey man sorry to hear it. i think breaking up can be the toughest thing in the world, it's right up there with losing a loved one.

all can i say man is it does get better. i took losing my first love harder than anyone i know. we were going out for 10 months and it took me forever to get over her. Now i've been with my current girlfriend for over 3 years, and she is truly my best friend and more right for me than my other girl ever was.

i know this sucks but the only thing that will help is time, everything else you do. crying, drinking, watching movies, drugs, whatever, that stuff is only helping you pass the time until you're better. if you guys were unhappy i know it sucks but it was the right thing. you'll find someone that you know is right and you'll wonder why you ever stressed this girl so much.

my final advice is to rent swingers, it'll pass some time and is guaranteed to make you feel better.

Thank you all for your advice and kind words. I appreciate every last one of them. It's been a little easier to deal with than I thought it would be, but I guess that it helped that we were best friends before and will at least try to remain friends. And if something happens down the line, fine...if not, that's fine too. It's all part of life I guess.
