Hey, it could be worse... You could have had your cats put to sleep two days after Christmas like I did this past year. (They were both 16+ and in poor health, so it had to be done. But it still sucked.)

Did you play the dcats meowing jingle bells while it was done? And what did putting your cats down have to do with giving cats baths or them scratching you?

My nephew got clawed in the face by his cat. He has an inch and a half scar underneath his left eye. After this happened me and my bro-in-law created kitty bowling. We set up all of our shoes at the end of a long tiled hallway, then we slide him down the hall on his back. We thought he would hate this but he loved it. If you do it to him once he comes back to you, jumps up in your arms, and you have to do it again.

We set up
all of our shoes at the end of a long tiled hallway, then we slide him down the hall on his back. We thought he would hate this but he loved it.


Otis *loves* to get tossed from across the room onto the futon. He especially loves it if you can put a spin on him as you toss him. He jumps right off the futon and comes running back wanting more. Thunderlips is better at "catt tossing" than I am. He's taller and I have the tendency to toss like a girl!

The visual I have of the cat spinning through the air is hysterical.

My cat used to enjoy my mother torturing him. I kid you not. She'd pet him nice, scratch his neck, and then violently bite the back of his neck and shake him. Then she'd repeat this like 10-20 times. After a while, the cat got an edgy personality, and became more strange than any cat you have ever met.
It was always a surprise, the cat would hide under the dining room table and whenever he'd see feet walking by - he would attack you! Then, I swear to god, 5 minutes later he'd want his neck scratched. It rocked, but also gave me some good ankle scratches. Cat stories are the best.

When we bathed my parents' cat (operative word being "we") it would take three of us. One holds the back legs, one holds the front legs, the other does the scrubbing. You still wind up needing a band-aid or two, but it makes it much easier to control the cat than if you have one person.

You even get a few laughs out of it, because when the cat finds out how futile struggling is, he/she starts with the "sympathy" meow. They look at you with the big pleading eyes, and do a long, soft "meowwwwwww".
