My boyfriend broke up with me about 4 months ago after a 2 1/2 year relationship but we remained friends. I started hanging out with this guy who I met through my ex. A few weeks ago, we ended up in bed together and we have been seeing each other since. I told my ex about it and he was, a little hurt but pretty much ok with it.

Before I really got to know this guy, he was the sweetest, kindest, most considerate man I knew. But after spending some more time with him, I have found out that he is crazy. He is an obsessive control freak. He always has to be in control, with everything in a specific order. We can't have sex unless he is in the mood. If I initiate, he will turn me down. I could be playing with him and he will have no problem performing but he will say no to me. If he initiates, it's ok though.

Now I'm a very sexual person. I don't necessarily enjoy sleeping around, but when I am with one person, I have to be able to open and free with them sexually and I can't be like this with him.

I am on the verge of ending this relationship with him. Mostly because of the sex issue but other little things he does that does not sit well with me.

I feel terrible or having caused drama for my ex, me, and him, only to find out, it was not worth it.

Am I a shit for thinking about ending it with him, or am I just a shit cause I got involved with him in the first place?

Should I even end it with him or should I give it some time? It has only been a few weeks...

Hey, we all make mistakes. You aren't a shit for getting involved with this guy. Sometimes things look right in the beginning but later we find out it's a huge mistake. We notice things about people after getting to know them after a while. If you aren't happy, then end things with him. And it sucks that you had to create drama, but at least you know now and you haven't been with this new guy for that long.
Dont' feel bad about the sex issue too, intimacy is an important part of being with someone. So my advice is, if you aren't happy then just cut your loses and go.

i'm not sure of the problem. if he's your ex you can see whoever you want. that's the point of breaking up, so they can't get mad at you anymore and you don't have to deal with it.

as for breaking up with this guy, nothing is to small to break up over. if you're not happy then bounce, no need wasting time when you could be finding someone who makes you happy.

Sounds like this guy was playing a part until he "got" you. Control freaks are a scary lot. You'd be better off getting away from this guy sooner than later. If the relationship lasts longer, it may get into a bad place, and you may get hurt (physically).

Also, you're not a "shit" for getting involved with a guy you met through your ex. You could've just as easily met him through chance.

Okay well I can tell that you still have some feelings for your ex, or otherwise you wouldn't take to heart how he felt about who you slept with. I think you need to take a week and think about what you want to do.

Just because the new guy doesn't stack up to your ex doesn't mean he's a bad person. A new person doesn't mean that they are better than your last, just different.

On the other hand, think about this new guy really hard and weigh the options. It seems as if you're close to breaking it off with him. If you have good reason, then you should break up. Don't worry about him, think about yourself. It's not selfish, it's just worrying about your own self-interest.

I'm the kinda guy you're parents are urging you to find and bring home.

Don't worry about hurting someone else's feelings. Control Freaks always want more and more control, remember that. Do what is right for yourself, and uh, I'm single and summer is here. Also, you didn't hang this towel correctly and...smack! Smack Smack! j/k :)
