Did did did did you see the frightened ones?
Did did did did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all long gone,
But the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

I love this band!

Who's with me?

"forward they cried, from the rear, and the front rank died."

Psychological, political, and always meaningful, Pink floyd moves me in ways that few bands can. i think i've seen "The wall" more than any other movie, save "Rocky Horror." roger waters, dave gilmore, even syd barrett (while he was sane) wrote some of the finest music ever . . . EVER!

fabulous call, rooster... i remember seeing them play at yankee stadium when i was in high school (granted it wasnt THAT long ago, but hey...). it was excellent, and that was already way past their heyday. easily one of the best, most creative and talented bands ever

One of the greatest lyrics ever written, in my opinion is from Breathe-reprise:

Far away across the fields
The tolling of an iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

I preferred "Atom Heart Mother". Syd Barrett WAS PINK FLOYD! Sorry, I'm old.

I love this band and you are right "The Wall is a three disk set. In fact I did see the actual show at Nassau Colliseum and saw it three days. The earlier stuff with Syd Barrett is good also. Poor Bastard went insane and took his life .

Poor Bastard went insane and took his life .

He's still alive and well and painting. He makes a $100,000 a year still from Pink Floyd royalties.

Syd Barrett WAS PINK FLOYD!

Doesn't get better than that!

I always thought the Wall was too literal. The earlier, conceptual Floyd like Meddle and Dark Side always took me on journeys the Wall just couldnt' do. But that's a great call playing it all with the Final Cut. It's too bad Waters doesn't go back, remaster the whole album and put that out as a three disc collective as he saw it.

Bon Jovi Fan Since Day ONE!

So ya
thought ya
might like to go to the show.
To feel the warm thrill of confusion
That space cadet glow.

Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?

Is this not what you expected to see?

If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes

You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise.

I friggin' love that intro!
