so i missed the fights to go see bright eyes at the bowery ballroom... as much as i would have loved to be at the fights, i couldnt have made a better decision.

this was one of the most amazing experiences i have ever had. the show was unbelivable... it just showed me again why they are my absolute favorite band. just imagine taking like your most amazing moment when everything seemed perfect and you felt like you were a part of something and you hear someone articulate so perfectly the things you feel that you never thought anyone else could understand and it gives you chills... now imagine being able to feel that for an hour and a half. and knowing that you get to do it again tomorrow night.

i know i've posted things about bright eyes a lot before, but i implore you... if you are someone who wants something sad and beautiful and perfect in your life, try them out.

i realize that when i read this post tomorrow i'm gonna feel like a complete dick because of the way i'm going on... but that should just serve to prove how poweful this whole thing was, and how profoundly affected i am. ok i'm definitely done now

oh yeah, and hearing them play "arienette" didn't hurt either...

I totally understand the feelings you have about this truly powerful experience, Arienette. This morning I had THE most a-mazing dump! It was so perfect. I heard harps and angels singing, and I was going into the light when He said to me "it is not your time." It was a trasendental experience - maybe even Nirvana. Then He said to me, "don't forget to wipe, bud."

So I know exactly how you feel.

I dont think your a dick because you had a good time seeing your favorite band. I think most of us feel that way when we see our favorite band.

I get that all the time when ever i get to see kittie on stage.

i think my friend Bobby went to the show too, and she's going to some sort of barbecue with them.

sure, that was a great song in the 80's, but can you really spend two hours playing one song over and over?

Really? I was totally serious. I had an after-dump experience.

supervixen, you totally rock... THANK YOU. i was really starting to feel stupid for posting this thread at all, it just meant so much to me and i guess this wasn't the proper forum to express it. but it makes me feel so much better to know that someone understands and took what i said seriously... and i hope the date went well :)

Let me say also that I wasn't making fun of you Arienette. I was just having fun with your thread.

I used to go to the San Francisco Symphony every time they played a Beethoven peice just to get that same feeling. When Picasso's Guernica was in Chicago I went and sat in front of it for over an hour.

I hope you don't refrain from posting threads like this again, because I did enjoy hearing someone else who feels passionate about something. In fact, I always read your posts. You are a favorite poster of mine.

I'm just also passionate about my bowell movements.
