I'm from NJ and that basically means TGI Fridays, (yes i do have the frequent friday card with the cool lamination), Ruby Tuesdays, Chili's, or good ole Fudruckers...I recommend the Friday three for all and the awesome blossom, if you get teh chance ;)

penang is a good place to go for malaysian. there are a couple locations, but i've only been to the one on the upper east side... very nice, they have these peanut pancakes that are like a religious experience. sushi samba in the 20s is decent if you're into sushi. for great vegetarian, the upstairs at zen palate in union square. angelica kitchen on 12th street for vegan. sotto cinque on the upper east side for italian...

Let's go dancin' in the light

Let's go out and feel the night.

A Salt & Battery at 112 Greenwich Ave. has authentic British food. They have fish and chips with several kinds of fish (I've had the cod and the haddock so far) plus they have bangers, deep fried Mars bars and mushy peas, among other things. Try the malt vinegar on the fish. I thought it was a lot of hype at first but it's really good.

Anybody know of any good German places?

I enjoy Mustang Salley's on 34th and something or other. Nice people, atmosphere and hot waitresses.
