i think i'd go with sense of smell. i mean, it's not that i'd want to lose it, but i think it would probably be the easiest one to get by without, and that it would be the least severely damaging, quality of life-wise.

smell...i really don't have much of that sense anyway. i never smell a fart or a bad crap. i also can't tell you what type of food is cooking if you held it under my nose. i don't get anything. one of the only things i get from my nose sense wise is when the lawn is just cut.

I'm not sure about losing a sense of smell. Isn't your sense of smell some sort of recongition function? You remember things based on a familiar scent?

And isn't your sense of smell, somewhat connected to your sense of taste? I think I read somewhere that someone who had a cold couldn't tell the difference between eating an apple or an onion.

My dad had a laryngectomy because of throat cancer. He lost his sense of smell but retained his sense of taste. He said that sometimes, if he thought hard enough, he could still remember the smell of roses.

So from what I know, I'd go with sense of smell.
