Impossible. This is just part of the inexplicable wave of "geek-chic" that's been popping up more and more recently. Sort of like "lesbian-chic" a few years back, when EVERYONE though a lesbian was the coolest fashion accessory (And they still do on the R&F show, apparently), like lapping cooch is even classier than Versace.
