I have been stuck in this hell hole of a state for a week now, and I can say that I have never missed the tri-state area more. I spent four days in Houston with relatives that didn't give a shit whether I was there or not. If I spend 300 bucks to fly to your wedding, the least you could do was thank me for coming. But I did get to meet a board member there. Thanks Aggie :)

Dallas is a little better, but still annoying. Every building, intersection, and house looks exactly the same. The streets and parking lots are all made of concrete, so even when it is overcast, the glare is still blinding.

But I get to come home tomorrow, and that's all that matters. So to wrap it up, avoid this crappy state if you can. There is really nothing cool to see here, unless you are a Kennedy assasination buff.

Look for some bright points, maybe George Bush's daughters are home and you can go for a few drinks with them.

Dude, my girlfriend moved to Texas when her grandmother died. I'm supposed to visit her this summer. Are there any redeeming qualities at all for the state?

Austin is the hottest site for music in the country right now, and there is a long history of incredibly diverse musical talents hailing from the Lone Star State.

It does take a while to get used to seeing all the dead dogs on the side of the road, though. If only they could air condition the entire state.

If any chick wants to watch "King Of THe Hill", drink a few Lone Stars and eat some Tex-Mex, inquire within. Yee hah!
Guns and Willie and Waylon CD's are optional.

Austin is cool, but the rest of the state is a turlit.

One of the first things schoolchildren in Texas learn is how to compose a simple declarative sentence without the word "shit" in it.
