Do the "Macarena" and the "Chicken Dance"...

...induce suicidal thoughts?

I have a real problem with all line dancing, but these two stand out to me as the most disturbing, possibly evil dances known to modern man.

Does anybody want to kill himself or herself when they hear these songs and see really fat middle-aged people dancing to these songs?

When I am trapped at a wedding, or family party, and these songs begin, I have the most disturbing voice in my head begin to tell me to jam the dull butter spreader knife into my eye, ear, or other vital area of my body. Somebody, please tell me that you have had this same voice come to you. The voice is a cross between Spongebob and Lurch.

Sad but true.

rooster, i could not agree with you more. i have always held a firm belief that organized dances of any kind were truly the spawn of satan and entirely without any redeeming qualities whatsoever.

and being forced to watch people do these dances is one of the most embarassing things i can imagine. i have had to endure this at countless functions, and i always just want to gouge out my eyes, feed them to myself, and then sink into the floor and die.

Arienette, we should go find random proms this spring, and when these organized dances (Macarena, Chicken dance, Hokey Pokey, Electric Slide, etc.) start, we should just start moshing right in the middle of all the inbred freaks!

i don't know about other ethnicities, but lets face it, the only dance that holds up at bar mitzvahs is "the hora." ever see a bunch of 13 year old jewish boys break dancing to impress their desert-eyed, pony-tailed "friends with benefits?" Its an ugly ugly scene

The Macarena, Chicken Dance, Electric slide all suck, as do most dances....except mine. Let me explain it to you. First I do some really fast pelvic thrusts and add in a little "raising the roof" and it is just the greatets dance of all time. I suggest everyone try it.
