In hopes that it might help, I offer up the way I reacted to the last time I was dump:
1)Call the person occasionally late at night to make sure you're not retarded and you heard them right.
2) When you find out that you did hear them right, spiral into a bottomless abyss of self-loathing and bitter introspection. This will eventually turn itself on its head, leading to intense hatred of the person that dumped you, wishing them a terribly painful death due to ass cancer.
3) When the person that dumps you comes back wanting to be friends and acting like nothing happened, pussy out and act super-attentive and pretend to be unhurt, perhaps slyly comment that you weren't good enough with them to begin with, all in the hopes that they'll take you back.
4) When they disappear again, having drained you of all dignity and any semblance of manhood (or womanhood, in your case), pretend that it was all your idea to get rid of them in the first place, telling all your friends that she (or he) was a psychotic cunt harpie, and you had to dump her (or him) because of such, in order to save face. Live in denial for the rest of your life.
This is probably less healthy than Tom Poo's advice, but it's all I know.
Truth be told, there's no good way to get over being dumped. If they don't want to be with you, so be it, it's their loss. The best thing you can do for yourself is to forget him. It'll be a while before you can, but any guy scummy enough to up and leave you when it isn't mutual isn't worth your time. I know you won't heed this advice as you're blinded by your love for the guy, but it's how it should be. And if he starts dating a pretty-boy pizza delivery guy, then kill them both and say you were chippin' golfballs.
Just remember that we don't all suck, just the ones that aren't me.
