dual honor: sid vicious/johnny thunders
granted johnny thunders was way more talented, but i think they both deserve to be mentioned. both men really lived the life... the junk, the music, everything. lived fast, then crashed and burned. if i were gonna be a junkie, i'd want to be one of them.

Jim Morrison. His poetry is unmatched, in my opinion, even to this day. For any of the youngsters out there who might scoff at this, consider checkin' out the Doors at their best. I love that stuff even now. Not to touch the earth...not to see the sun...nothin' left to do but run run run...let's run...

The sad thing is, I actually had to narrow it down, too many junkies in this world!
Umm, I'd have to say Jake the Snake Roberts because he used to be a great wrestler and when I saw the documentary where he talks about his problems, I understood immediatley why he is a crack head! He has one of the most messed up lives ever! I would be a crackhead too if all that shit happened to me!

Thanks for the help Earth2Ron, how can i ever repay you?!

Keith Richards.
He epitomizes the term "elegantly wasted" and there's the "legend" of him having to get his blood changed. All those years of smoking, booze and drugs and he's still here -- and touring at 58!.

Graham Greene smoked opium regularly & managed to write some great fiction. A tough balancing act. He gets my vote.

My other favorite junkie was Vincent Vega from "Pulp Fiction".
