What's your favorite depressing/f*cked up movie?
I'd have to say "Pink Floyd's The Wall" . (although, dont get me wrong it was a major kick-ass movie.)
Crazy Claire is so damn hot.

I'd have to go with "Brazil" again. But there's also "Wages of Fear", "Insomnia", "Vagabond","Walkabout"...I could think of a few more if I had more time.

Rush to me was depressing. I am not sure if many people saw it. It is an older movie from the early 90's but it sticks in my head as a depressing story.

In case you didn't read my other post, but I cried when Artax drowned in the Swamp of Sadness in "Neverending Story". Best kid's movie ever.
But, coincidentally, I just saw "Casino" for the first time last night. I think that movie was filmed in real time, as I'm actually thirty years older now than I was when it started. But it was great shit...the worst part of the movie is when they pull the guy's pants down and break out the buzzsaw. Mental imagery at its worst...almost as bad as seeing Ben Stiller's nut caught in the zipper in "There's Something About Mary"

I'll take a popped eye over someone cutting off my danglies anyday.
Of course, if anyone attempts to go near my eyes, I attack them in a wild frenzy while screaming like a girl.

When I get depressed, I watch depressing movies. Anything else is counterproductive. It's kinda like paddling through rapids.
Here's my favorites:
Steve Buscemi's "Trees Lounge"
Tim Roth's "The War Zone"
Gary Oldman's "Nil by Mouth"
Mike Figgis' "Leaving Las Vegas"
Darren Aronofsky's "Requiem for a Dream"
but the grandaddy of them all has got to be "Happiness" by Todd Solondz
All of them great movies too.

In vino veritas
There's a place in the world for the angry young man With his working class ties and his radical plansHe refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,He's always at home with his back to the wall. And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost,And he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross-And he likes to be knowns as the angry young man.

The New Zeland movie "Once We Were Warriors" is a hard-core domestic violence bummer of a movie.
