Milo, Binkley, Opus, Bill.
Steve, with the sunglasses and perpetual hangover.
Cutter John, HodgePodge, the Basselope.
The black kid with the computer.

Let's run over Lionel Ritchie with a tank.

I was so sad the day that Bloom County became Outland.
I even have the Christmas special on tape.

The first is in my bathroom. Its the one of him on the toilet, reading The New York Times. Ha!

The other is Opus wearing his " Wallpaper Toga ".

When Bill got the chair for spying-and they couldn't execute him-one of the funniest bits ever. <P>

Bloom County to get republished at last
by Keith Phipps February 5, 2009

The Beat has the great news that Berke Breathed's Bloom County, one of the signature comic strips of the 1980s, will be republished in its entirety by IDW Publishing. The Bloom County Library, the first volume of which will appear in 2009, will collect the strip's nine year run in five volumes. And for younger fans not necessarily tuned into Breathed's era-specific references, fear not:

The Bloom County Library will also contain a series of “Context Pages” sprinkled throughout the volumes. These pages will provide perspective for the reader, presenting a variety of real-life events and personalities that were contemporary at the time of original publication.

Jeanne Kirkpatrick is about to feel the burn all over again. Oh wait. She's dead.

I need to give this series a try again because when I've attempted to get into it over the years it always left me cold. Aren't there basically like two "eras" to the series? Wasn't it Bloom County and then Outland? I think almost everything I've read was from the latter era, so maybe that was the problem.

Bloom County was great. My brother has all of the collections, unfortunately we still do not have the square record of U Stink (but I love you) and I'm a boinger that came with Billy and The Boingers Bootleg.

I shuffled through one of my bookshelves and found this:

I started reading and I laughed and laughed.

Now I just have to find the rest of my collection.

3 eras: Bloom County, Outland, Opus.

Opus just ended a few weeks ago.

I still have mine, but if you wanna hear it, google Mucky Pup.

I just re-purchaged Loose Tails on Amazon for a dollar and thought it totally held up.

I was extra-thrilled when Berke would throw Nick Rhodes and Boy George in the book.

Outland had its teeth removed.
